Gorilla permits are limited, date-specific, and often secured months in advance during peak travel periods. We confirm permit availability before finalizing your route.

Payment and deposit
Deposits secure dates, permits, and lodge space. Final balance terms are clearly stated before confirmation.
Cancellation and permit rules
Gorilla and chimpanzee permits follow UWA's official tiered refund schedule, and can often be rescheduled to a later date. We explain the current terms in full before payment.
Fitness and accessibility
Gorilla trekking can involve steep, muddy, uneven terrain. We help match the sector, pace, and porter support to your fitness level.
Best time to travel
June to September and December to February are popular dry-season windows. April, May, and November can offer softer conditions and lower-season advantages.
